The fight for the Internet is a human one: What Nym can do to help

Today, yesterday, and tomorrow, people across the world are struggling desperately to improve their lives, their communities, and defend their rights as human beings. And the Internet is a vital resource in these fights. It’s where we can connect with each other near and far, across cultures and languages. It’s where we can broadcast to the world what is happening to us, what we are trying to build. It’s where we can find concrete tools and information to help us learn, survive, and keep fighting against injustice.

Nym is here to make sure that everyone can access the Internet without fear, knowing their privacy is protected. The reality is that there are global forces doing everything they can to block it or shut it down completely. This is an attempt to control people’s lives by shutting them off from the world, from each other

Nym’s work will sometimes be in the shadows. But we promise:

Where they splinter the web with walls, Nym will try to dig tunnels.

Where surveillance shines its spotlight everywhere, Nym will try to create cover.

Where voices are being censored, Nym will try to clear the road forward.
