Advancing privacy across ecosystems at Prague blockchain week

Most of the Nym team have just returned from a busy week in Prague for the blockchain week in what is arguably Europe’s main hub of privacy technologists these days!

Prague blockchain week was packed with events across ecosystems. And given that Nym is a chain agnostic privacy layer, the team was active on and off stage discussing with friends and fellow privacy activists, zk-researchers, devs, anthropologists and entrepreneurs across Cosmos, Ethereum and the Lunarpunk ecosystems…

From Paralelni Polis to a number of local independent efforts to mature the privacy space, the cypherpunk movement is kept alive and growing. People from the Nym team in fact organised the biggest privacy event during Prague blockchain week — the very first Web3 Privacy Summit!

Key highlights of the week:

Gateway to Cosmos where Nym CEO Harry Halpin gave a talk on ‘Privacy on the new Nyx IBC blockchain and Nym mixnet’
Nym team had the privilege of meeting Ellie and Hans who have independently built “Nym-hole” a local Nym router which they pitched during the Cosmos Pitch Competition: github.com/dial0ut
The workshop by Nym Integrations Lead, Nadim Kobeissi: ‘Hands-on with the Nym mixnet and Nyx blockchain workshop’. He was assisted by Harry and Serinko Nym’s newest DevRel.
The Web3 Privacy Summit — organised by Mykola Siusko of Nym team and featuring 20+ speakers from Ethereum Foundation, Nym and more…!
DevRel lead Max Hampshire was on stage at the Summit speaking about ‘Maintaining privacy infrastructure’ with Max Guy Ziskynd. “The task is how to bring people in, via rewards but also the broader ideological vision”.
Newest Nym addition to DevRel, Serinko, was also on stage discussing how privacy can enable human rights. It is highly recommended to watch the recordings from the summit, especially the phenomenal Rachel-Rose O’Leary on the rise of Lunarpunk!
