NymVPN v2025.7 is the 7th release this year. The dev team is focused on improving app stability and connectivity across all apps. There is no new release for Android. Here are all the changes.
New features
- [iOS] Building on previously released functionality for desktop, the VPN now launches without network connectivity. There are also improvements to connection reliability on mobile apps thanks to changes to the cache environment setup.
- [iOS] The account controller “idle state” now listens for offline state and pauses what it’s doing. This reduces unneeded network calls and unexpected behavior in the apps.
- [Windows] NymVPN app and nym-vpnd auto-start at device startup
Improvements to existing features
- [MacOS] Update screens are redesigned for improved flow and user experience
- [Windows, Linux] Font and welcome screen are updated
Core changes
- [Windows] File permissions are set for all stored on-disk data
- [Linux] fwmark now used for the Anonymous mode to bypass VPN
Bug Fixes
- Fix to connection failure causing locked up app with the “idle state”
