Spacestation wallet now supports NYM!
Our good friends at Cosmostation have integrated the Nyx chain to the Mintscan explorer as well as the spacestation.zone wallet.
Our good friends at Cosmostation have integrated the Nyx chain to the Mintscan explorer as well as the spacestation.zone wallet.
The latter allows for a nice and easy to use UI to transfer NYM native (Cosmos-sdk) to NYM ERC-20 and back using Gravity bridge.
Below we show you how to use the wallet to transfer your NYMs across the two chains. All you need is some NYMs (enough for the transfer and fees), Kepler and Metamask browser extensions.
NYM native Gravity bridge NYM ERC-20:
- Go to spacestation.zone on your desktop or laptop browser
- Select Nyx from the dropdown menu for Source and Gravity Bridge for Destination addresses.
3. Assuming you already have a Kepler wallet with Nyx and Gravity Bridge chains added in there -> Connect your Source and Destination addresses to their corresponding Nyx and Gravity addresses in your Kepler wallet. You will be prompted to log in to Kepler and approve the connections. Once done you will see your addresses showing up like below.
4. Next from the Select Token dropdown menu select NYM.
Now we can transfer our NYMs from the Nyx chain to Gravity for further transferring them to the Ethereum chain. This requires having enough NYMs in your Kepler wallet for the transfer itself and extra for the transaction fees (if you don’t have NYMs in your Kepler wallet make sure to transfer some from your NYM wallet).
5. Type in the amount you want to transfer and make sure to leave some for transaction fees. Then click on Transfer to confirm. You will be prompted by your Kepler wallet to approve the fee for this transaction, select Average and click Approve. Your transfer will be queued up to be relayed on the Gravity bridge.
Once your NYMs are relayed onto the Gravity bridge and show up in your Kepler wallet, we can transfer them from Gravity to Ethereum using the same process but this time by connecting to Metamask. First make sure you have the NYM contract added to your Metamask address. To do that, go to NYM token tracker on Etherscan and under Profile Summary click on the More button and then select “Add Token to Metamask (Web3)” option.
6. Select Gravity Bridge chain from the dropdown menu for Source and Ethereum for Destination. Connect your Metamask to the Spacestation wallet and type in the amount you want to transfer.
Depending on how much you have in your wallet to pay for the bridging fee you can select the speed of your transaction. Once you confirm the transfer, you can check the status of the transaction on the Gravity side on Mintscan by searching for your Gravity address and scrolling down to transactions. If successful your NYMs will show up in your Metamask address.
Now to bridge NYM ERC20 asset to NYM native, follow the exact same process as above but in the reverse order. That is NYM ERC-20 > Gravity bridge > NYM native.
