Telegram is not e2e encrypted by default

How to improve your privacy on Telegram

Turn off cloud-based auto-downloads
This prevents media from being stored on Telegram’s servers by default:
- Go to Settings > Data and Storage > Auto-Download Media

Regularly delete messages and chat history
Deleting old chats limits exposure.
