NymVPN Referral Program: Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the NymVPN Referral Program ("Program") operated by Nym Technologies SA ("Nym", "we", "us"). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The Program allows existing NymVPN users to refer new users via the NymVPN Telegram bot. Successful referrals earn rewards in $NYM tokens, subject to the conditions below.

2. Eligibility

To participate as a referrer, you must:

Hold an active NymVPN account in good standing
Not be located in a jurisdiction where participation is prohibited by applicable law
Be aged 18 or overjurisdiction

Nym reserves the right to verify eligibility and to exclude participants at its discretion.

3. How the Program Works

3.1 Referral links

Each eligible participant receives a unique referral link or code, accessible through the NymVPN accounts page or Telegram mini app. This link is personal and non-transferable.

3.2 Qualifying referral

A referral is qualifying when:

A new user uses your unique referral code to purchase a new NymVPN subscription
The new user doesn’t request a refund within the first 30-days
The new user is not in a jurisdiction where NymVPN service is restricted

Referral codes do not expire. Any purchase made using a valid referral code qualifies, regardless of when the code was originally issued.

3.3 Referral codes

Referral codes are generated via NymVPN accounts page or the official NymVPN Telegram bot (@NymVPNbot / https://t.me/NymVPNbot). Nym does not recognise or honour referrals generated through unofficial bots, channels, or third-party platforms.

4. Rewards

4.1 Reward structure

Rewards are denominated in $NYM and depend on the subscription purchased by the referred user:

1-month subscription: a raffle ticket for the chance to win 10,000 $NYM in a monthly draw
1-year subscription: 500 $NYM per qualifying referral
2-year subscription: 800 $NYM per qualifying referral

4.2 Monthly prize draw

Each qualifying referral also earns the referrer one entry into a monthly prize draw. One winner is selected at random each calendar month and receives a bonus of 10,000 $NYM. Draw entries do not carry over between months. Nym reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the prize draw at any time with notice via @nymchan.

4.3 Reward cap

The maximum total $NYM rewards (excluding prize draw winnings) payable to any one participant in a calendar month is 500,000 $NYM.

4.4 Currency

All rewards are paid exclusively in $NYM. No alternative currencies are supported.

4.5 No cash equivalent

Rewards have no cash equivalent and cannot be exchanged for fiat currency through Nym.

5. Claiming Rewards

5.1 Claim process

Referrals only get rewarded once the 30-day refund period is over. After that, you can claim your rewards by submitting a wallet address.

To claim rewards, you must go through the official claims process in the Nym Squad League or your NymVPN accounts page.

Claims are reviewed and processed manually by the Nym team. Processing may take up to 6 weeks from the date of submission.

5.2 Wallet requirement

Participants must provide a valid $NYM-compatible wallet address to receive rewards. Nym is not responsible for rewards sent to incorrect or incompatible addresses.

5.3 Minimum threshold

There is no minimum balance required to claim rewards.

5.4 Expiry

Unclaimed rewards expire 6 months after the qualifying referral date.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Participants must not:

Create fake or duplicate accounts to generate fraudulent referrals
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to generate referral clicks or sign-ups
Misrepresent NymVPN's features, pricing, or capabilities when promoting the Program
Make misleading claims about the rewards or the Program terms
Distribute referral links through spam, unsolicited messages, or prohibited channels
Use referral links in paid advertising without prior written approval from Nym
Offer secondary incentives or payments to referred users without Nym's prior written consent

Nym reserves the right to disqualify participants and void rewards where prohibited conduct is suspected or confirmed.

7. Geographic Scope and Restrictions

7.1 Target markets

This Program is designed for communities worldwide.

7.2 Geo-restrictions

Nym uses geofencing to determine eligibility for the Program in certain jurisdictions. Payment location is not used as the sole basis for geo-restriction.

7.3 Sanctions compliance

Participation is void where prohibited by applicable sanctions, export control laws, or other legal restrictions. Participants are responsible for ensuring their own compliance with local laws.

8. Privacy

Your participation in this Program is subject to the NymVPN Privacy Policy and the Referral Program Privacy Policy. By participating, you consent to Nym processing personal data as necessary to administer the Program, including wallet addresses and referral activity.

9. Modifications and Termination

9.1 Changes to Terms

Nym reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, including reward amounts, reward structure, payout thresholds, and eligibility criteria. Changes will be communicated via the @nymtech announcements channel on Telegram as well as the official blog and Referral Program webpage.

Continued participation after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Referral codes themselves do not expire, but the rewards associated with their use are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of the qualifying purchase.

9.2 Program suspension or termination

Nym may suspend or terminate the Program at any time. Pending qualifying referrals at the time of termination will be honoured; unpaid rewards will be paid out subject to these Terms.

9.3 Participant termination

Nym may terminate a participant's access to the Program at any time, including where:

These Terms have been breached
Fraudulent activity is detected
The participant's NymVPN account is closed or suspended

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nym's liability in connection with the Program is limited to the value of rewards earned but not yet paid. Nym is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or speculative loss arising from participation in or exclusion from the Program.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
