NymVPN v2026.10 also introduces:

• In-app creation for Android devices not connected with Google accounts
• Secure DNS tunneling to improve ad blocker
• Many improvements to app connection, UI, and stability

Improved connections

Some NymVPN users have reported long connection times across multiple platforms. After diving deep, we routed the problem to internal timeouts being hit silently in the connection flow.

Three fixes have significantly improved connection times across the board:

• To caching of account information
• Improved process for connectivity tests
• More enduring peer records for gateways

Improved ad blocker tunneling

We have added encrypted DNS protocols (DoH & DoT) for NymVPN’s ad blocker. This protects the feature’s DNS requests, which it uses to filter out known ads and trackers, via TLS (for DoT) and HTTPS (for DoH).

In-app account creation for de-Google’d devices

We’ve made things a bit easier for our Android comrades not using Google services and in-app payments. New users can now create a NymVPN account all in-app!

• All apps: New diagnostic tool test that establishes a WebSocket connection to the Google reference server via a covert channel

Bug fixes

• All apps: Fixes for stuck connection state
• All apps: Improved logging for internal tunnel failure marked “unknown”
• All apps: Fix for Polkit not declared as dependency for package installations
• Android: Resolution to hickory system resolver panicking
• Linux: Fix to connection problems and prompt for restarting after update
• Linux: Updated package dependencies to support additional system policykit providers addressing install errors
• Windows: Fix for unspecified error on logout
• Windows: Fix for app crash during sleep
