Research partnerships
Nym collaborates with leading universities and organizations to advance privacy, network security, cryptography, and beyond. Contact us for partnership opportunities!
Current research partnerships
As of December 2024, Nym partners with the following research institutions.
KU Leuven
We continuously collaborate with the COSIC research group at KU Leuven.
Our collaboration focuses on advancing the privacy, performance, and hardware optimisation of our network. Together, we analyse and mitigate threats such as correlation attacks and work on optimising and parameterising our mix network.
This partnership ensures that our solutions remain robust and effective in addressing evolving challenges.
EPFL
We work closely with the SPRING Lab (Security and Privacy Engineering) at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) on cutting-edge research in network privacy and security.
This includes empirical evaluations of sophisticated attacks, such as website fingerprinting, and exploring strategies to maintain network anonymity. Additionally, we host research interns from EPFL, creating opportunities for learning and collaboration.
Cryspen
Cryspen seeks to adapt and extend cutting-edge formal verification tools developed at research labs like Inria. With Cryspen, we focus on advancing cryptographic security, particularly in the context of post-quantum resilience.
Cryspen also provides expert reviews of our cryptographic implementations, offering valuable feedback to enhance security and optimize performance.
Former research partnerships
European Commission
Nym Technologies traces its roots to the PANORAMIX project, an EU-funded project under the Horizon 2020 program. While Nym emerged as an evolution of this project, PANORAMIX played a pivotal role in shaping the foundational ideas and technologies that underpin our work in network privacy and security.
