Nym is releasing NymVPN v2025.20 with Custom DNS for Android, Windows & Linux, with macOS to follow.
And more desktop platforms now support the dApp mode so you can split tunnel from your wallet to Ethereum via the mixnet!
macOS reminder: NymVPN v2025.20 is the last release that will support macOS Ventura 13.
DNS customization (Android, Windows & Linux)
Secure DNS requests are a crucial part of VPN privacy protections. If your DNS leaks, the IP of what you’re connecting to online can be visible.
No need to trust Nym to handle your DNS requests: set your own! Give it a try by adding your preferred DNS servers to protect your metadata. Be sure to let the team know how it’s working.
More platforms for dApp mode
Now on macOS, Windows, and Linux, connect your dApps and wallets to the Nym mixnet via SOCKS5 with RPC nodes you choose. Why? This neat little feature allows you to tunnel your wallet transactions privately through the mixnet while staying connected via the Fast mode. A little split tunneling for crypto!
