New releases: NymVPN v2025.10

The team’s primary goal has been made clear: to make NymVPN as stable and bug-free as possible. Major connection and UX improvements were made with the latest release of NymVPN v2025.10, including:

• Fixes to the 1-hr disconnection problem on all apps
• Resolutions to exhausted bandwidth
• Connection improvements across all apps
• A new auto-updater for Windows

NymVPN for iOS coming soon

A new release for iOS is in the works to meet a new Apple Store requirement for in-app purchases. The good news is that this will highly simplify the registration process for new users. Stay tuned for news!

What’s coming next?

Stay up to date with the public roadmap for NymVPN development. Here’s what you can look out for in the short term:

• Completing the localization of the NymVPN apps and nym.com in 10+ languages
• The second phase of NymVPN’s censorship resistance program

Nym network in numbers

Network incident resolved

In the early morning of 21 June, the Nym network experienced an outage. This was quickly discovered, reported, and addressed by the Nym community & team who restored service by 6:30 AM UTC. You can read the full incident report here. Big thanks to the community members on TG for the notifications!

Network continues to grow

Nym network now has 71 unique exit countries, and climbing! Remember, there are grants for new joiners. Join the operator channels on TG or Matrix and spin up a node.

Improvements to node rewards & governance

NIP (Nym Improvement Proposals) have been kickstarted with a NIP-1 currently being discussed in the Nym forum.

NIP-2 has been proposed to reduce stake saturation point to improve network decentralization and performance.

New Nym Governator tool

A new Nym Governator tool has been rolled out to support Nym network governance. Check it out!

Bitcoin Las Vegas: Harry Halpin presented “Reclaiming Internet Privacy in a World of Surveillance” alongside Nym friends like Blake Emerson. Adam Back and other Nym supporters also gave talks.

Protocol Berg: Many team members rocked Berlin in June for our beloved Protocolberg and many exciting meetups surrounding the event. Execs presented on entropy & noise, e-cash, Libp2p, and of course, the Noise Generating Mixnet underlying NymVPN.
