This release is about control. Privacy isn't one setting you switch on and forget: it's a series of choices about how you connect and what you're willing to trade for speed. NymVPN v2026.13 gives you some new ways to customize your privacy, starting with new connection Profiles.

Here's what's new:

Profiles: one-click Auto, Anonymous, Fastest, and Random connection setups
More reliable connections: smarter server selection, quicker reconnects, and a confirmed tunnel before you're shown as connected
Account expiry notifications: a clear heads-up before your plan or free pass runs out

Profiles: Your connection, your way

Not every moment online needs the same thing. Sometimes you want the strongest anonymity the mixnet can give you. Sometimes you just want the fastest route. Profiles turn that into a single click, so you can pick how you connect without choosing specific servers each time.

Choose from four setups:

Auto: uses the best servers near you, always in another country
Anonymous: uses the mixnet with auto selection for maximum privacy
Fastest: uses the best, fastest servers near you, including your own country
Random: uses a different, randomly selected server each time for untraceability

Switch between them instantly, with no digging through settings.

More reliable connections

Connecting should just work, and you should be able to trust the status you see. This release brings smarter server selection and quicker reconnects. On mobile, the app now confirms on the backend that the tunnel is genuinely up before showing you as connected, so there are fewer stalls, fewer false "connected" states, and more confidence that you're actually protected.

Account expiry notifications

No more surprise lapses. On every platform, NymVPN now gives you a clear heads-up before your plan or free pass runs out, so you can renew on your own terms and stay protected without a gap. More UX improvements on this coming in the next releases!

Smaller updates

Mixnet tuning: a cleaner toggle and slider for the Mixnet tuning feature to balance cover traffic against speed, across all platforms
"Safest" is now "Auto": clearer naming for the default connection setup, across all platforms
Now available in Italian, Indonesian, and Japanese, bringing private, uncensored internet access to more people in their own language
Recently used servers on Windows and Linux, so you can quickly reconnect to servers you've used before
Stronger privacy on Android: tighter permissions and camera access removed
