Nym in March & April 2026
NymVPN just got supercharged: From split-tunneling to post-quantum
Share
Nym has been very busy building. So we’re thrilled to show you everything we’ve done so far this year.
NymVPN has gotten some major new features over the past months. We’ve rolled out beta versions of split tunneling and ad blocking, and just deployed the first phase of post-quantum security with a novel protocol.
And in less than two weeks, NymVPN will be getting a new look and feel: cleaner, simpler, easier to use – with all the advanced tech you’ve come to expect.
With a now competitive VPN app, NymVPN is going to market with targeted ads, a community referral program, and guerrilla outreach to people in countries affected by internet censorship.
Let’s get into it.
Nym's roadmap for 2026
Last month, Nym announced its roadmap for how it will revitalize the $NYM token, improve the mixnet, and take decentralization to the limit. Make sure to read the plan for how we will accomplish this step-by-step.
What’s new on NymVPN
The short answer: a lot. NymVPN is now loaded with new VPN features, and we’re not done yet. Nym is the most anonymous way to be online, and now NymVPN gives you much more than a point of access: a customizable privacy experience.
Split tunneling (beta)

With split tunneling, you decide which apps use the VPN tunnel and which bypass it. This beta feature is now available across NymVPN apps, with iOS coming soon!
Ad blocker (beta)

Ad blocking is a secret privacy superpower, protecting against trackers and malware. NymVPN's new ad blocker is out in beta, with iOS on the way. Stay tuned for the cool partnership that made this possible. 😉
Post-quantum keys

Post-quantum keys now secure your initial connection across all apps. A novel Lewes Protocol developed by Nym makes your app both more efficient and post-quantum secure.
Custom DNS

Choose your own trusted DNS servers to protect against IP and metadata leaks, and block ads and malware. See how it works.
Sneak preview of new NymVPN UI
In less than two weeks, NymVPN will be getting a facelift:
- A much simplified user experience
- 1-click connection
- Expanding menu for network customization
- Auto-connect for the best server for you

The VPN for crypto
Mixnet integrated on Edge Wallet

Edge Wallet has become the first multi-asset wallet to integrate the Nym mixnet to provide L0 protections for their crypto users. What Web3 project will be next to take up the baton?
$NYM’s reach expanded
The $NYM token is now integrated on two new wallets, with more to come this year.
The Nym network & community
Pay as You Go: Decentralized Nym Access
You can now access the Nym network directly via decentralized $NYM payments and zk-credentials. No account, no subscriptions, no identity revealed. We call it Pay as You Go. What it is is anonymity and decentralization all the way down.
NSL Spring Season: Launch of the referral program
The Nym Squad League Spring Season is live, and it’s going to be the most important and rewards-fueled one to date. This is because Nym is launching its referral program.
This season you can become an Nym ambassador by getting Nym privacy into people’s minds and NymVPN into their hands. Earn $NYM rewards, free passes, and compete for some dope privacy tech prizes – and of course by giving people some free months!
The Anti-Palantir Manifesto
“We should fight for the world we want, and build the tools needed by future generations.”
Harry Halpin wrote his own personal response to Palantir’s much discussed manifesto, arguing instead that technology should be used to free humanity, not enslave it.. What do you think? Let us know on X or Telegram.

“For anyone searching for the best VPN to safeguard their digital life, this high-profile clash highlights exactly what is at stake. The debate isn't just theoretical; it directly impacts how everyday users are tracked, monitored, and protected online.”
Tom’s Guide: “NymVPN launches split tunneling and post-quantum encryption in hefty update.”
“The post-quantum key exchange, delivered via NymVPN's newly developed Lewes Protocol, targets a specific threat: the ability of well-resourced adversaries to record encrypted traffic today and decrypt it once quantum computers become powerful enough to do so.”
Coindesk: “Encryption Supremacy: Zcash and Privacy in the Age of Scale.”
“Technologies such as mixnets and traffic-shaping systems obscure IP-level information, making it significantly harder for adversaries to trace activity back to individual users.Nym is currently the leading implementation in this space.”
Tom’s Guide: NymVPN Review (2026)
“Rather than having a no-logs policy, NymVPN is designed to be a zero-knowledge network: it doesn’t know who you are and doesn’t handle your data.”
TechRadar: “Rising stars – the 3 VPNs to watch in 2026”
“The Switzerland-based provider's mission is clear and unapologetic: build a fully decentralised VPN that can withstand surveillance, censorship, and metadata tracking, while reducing reliance on Big Tech's data-hungry infrastructure.”
