NymVPN: Crypto ready, CZ approved

After months of prep, Nym’s Marketing team has officially launched its affiliates program and first paid ads campaign. This is the engine that will deliver genuine online privacy and protections into the hands of the millions of people worldwide who desperately need it. Even Vitalik Buterin is looking into mixnets!

The Nym team just returned from a great week in Kyiv with the Ukrainian squad for the NCrypto Conference and meet ups with community members. Big shout out to all who came to see the Noise Generating Mixnet in action, and thanks for such a warm welcome in hard times!

The dev team continues to monitor customer feedback and fine tune performance, connectivity, and user experience. New features – including split tunneling, speed enhancements for the mixnet, and much more – are in the pipeline. Check out the public roadmap for what’s coming!

In addition to Nym’s roadmap for censorship resistance technology, you can also see how the team will deploy post-quantum encryption this year.

And Harry Halpin travelled to Abu Dhabi for a one-on-one with CZ himself, one of Nym’s very first investors! They discussed market strategy and the future of NymVPN and NYM, and Harry will serve as a mentor for the next cohort of YZi Labs. Expect a big push soon to get NymVPN working well in China.

Improving NymVPN

NymVPN saw two releases in April: v2025.6 and v2025.7. Improvements are continually being made to performance, speed, connectivity, and user experience. This is all thanks to the extensive feedback on the Help Center and Nym community channels – keep it coming, we’re listening!

The Nym team has been using its own tokens to delegate to gateways operated by decentralized admins to help them get into the active set and earn rewards. In April we delegated to all 153 nodes running as exit gateways in the v2 of our service grant program.

New Nym Wallet release

A new wallet is now available. As an operator, you can now change your profit margin and operation cost directly through the app.

Nym Explorer v2.2

The Nym Explorer is the mixnet in your hands. It now includes a node map, advanced filters, and magic search. Check it out to explore the network and stake on your favorite nodes!

Wireguard exit policy scripts released

Operators can easily apply the new WireGuard exit policy scripts on the servers hosting nym-node in exit-gateway mode to align it with the mixnet exit policy.

Nym live from Kyiv!

The Nym team was in Kyiv for the NCrypto Conference and Incrypted meetup. Vitalik Buterin’s recent praise of mixnets around the events meant a lot more people were interested in Nym booths.
